Coping, Paving & Surrounds

Coping is the brick paving or simulated stone paving, laid around the edge of your swimming pool, where the surround meets the mosaic tile.

We recommend using brick paving or a non-slip simulated stone bullnose or stone rounded paver in this area and strongly discourage the use of tiles as they often become slippery, and as a result raises a safety hazard. Also, keeping in mind that tiling affects the structural integrity of the top edge of the swimming pool.

Coping is a very important factor in setting the levels and defining the shape and character of your swimming pool. We highly recommend that it is installed by a professional swimming pool specialist such as ourselves.

Paving and surrounds

Add some stylish surrounds whilst installing a new pool or smartening up the area around your existing pool.

Choose a surround that will suit your pool, garden and personal needs. A contemporary pool for instance looks best with larger paving stones or wooden deck. Rustic pools call for a more informal feel with pavers in different sizes and a variety of sandstone colours.

Rough bricks are unsuitable for pools used by children as shins are easily grazed.
